Mr. Machado completed his undergraduate studies in 1980, graduating cum laude with his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Illinois. He went on to attend the Northwestern University School of Law, where he sharpened his shrewd legal acumen to help his clients today. He received his Juris Doctor in 1983, and two years later, he obtained his license to practice law in Illinois. He later gained admission to practice before the United States District Courts for the Northern, Central and Southern Districts of Illinois.

- Mr. Machado obtained a 6.5 million dollar verdict on behalf of a brain injured baby girl who was improperly diagnosed with a cold and went on to have a septic condition that caused her to have a respiratory arrest followed by permanent brain damage.
