Erin C. Cobb

Erin C. Cobb is a partner at Krizelman Burton & Associates, LLC in Chicago, a firm dedicated exclusively to the practice of immigration and nationality law since 1974. Erin focuses on family-based immigration, complex naturalization, asylum, removal defense, appeals, and federal court litigation.

Ms. Cobb practices nationwide before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and the Executive Office for Immigration Review, including the Immigration Courts and the Board of Immigration Appeals. She also practices in the federal courts, including the Northern District of Illinois and the Seventh Circuit, Six Circuit, and Ninth Circuit Courts of Appeals.

She sits on the Executive Board of the Chicago Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), where she is the Immediate Past Chair. AILA is a professional immigration bar association, with over 15,000 attorney and professor members nationwide, over 700 of which are part of the Chicago Chapter. Ms. Cobb has also served in various liaison capacities with the federal immigration-related agencies, including with USCIS, the Asylum Office, and Office of Chief Counsel (ICE). Ms. Cobb has an Avvo “Superb” rating.

Ms. Cobb graduated summa cum laude in 2008 from DePaul University College of Law where she obtained a Juris Doctor. She returned to her alma mater to serve as an Adjunct Professor where she taught Immigration and Nationality Law.

Erin has been a frequent speaker at both regional and national conferences for the last decade, and has also presented to community organizations and student groups who have an interest in immigration law.
