Henderson Banks

A native of the Westside of Chicago, and the Founding Partner of Henderson Banks Law, Mr. Banks has dedicated his career to servicing his community and handling the most complex employment and personal injury cases. Mr. Banks’ passion and focus on representing his clients has led to great client satisfaction.

Mr. Banks has experience in labor law, employment discrimination, wrongful termination and sexual harassment in the workplace. He has also successfully handled medical malpractice, automobile negligence, premises liability, and product liability cases.

Mr. Banks has worked as a Labor and Employment Specialist for several Fortune 500 companies including Amazon, where he gained valuable experience investigating and resolving high profile employment discrimination and sexual harassment claims. Throughout his career, he has developed employment policies, procedures and employment contracts to help businesses mitigate risk, thereby helping the business grow at a sustainable rate without the concern of litigation.

In addition to being a top rated employment attorney, Mr. Banks has also been recognized as one of the Top 10 Personal Injury Attorneys in the Nation by the National Academy of Personal Injury Attorneys. He has recovered millions of dollars on behalf of his client's since starting his law firm in Chicago, Illinois. 

A leader in the employment and personal injury field, Mr. Banks was recognized as one of the Top 40 Under 40 Civil Plaintiff Trial Lawyers in Illinois. Mr. Banks is an active member of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, Illinois State Bar Association, and Black Entertainment & Sports Lawyer Association, Chicago Chapter. Mr. Banks is also a founding member of The Chicago Lawyers Collective, an organization that provides free legal assistance to underserved communities.

Mr. Banks received his Dual Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Labor and Employment from the University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign. Mr. Banks earned his Juris Doctor and Certificate in Labor and Employment from Chicago Kent College of Law.

In addition to servicing his clients, Mr. Banks gives back to his community through his work as an appointed Trustee on the Board of Directors with Dr. Arthur Lockhart Resource Institute. Mr. Banks has also maintained his passion for music as an artist while practicing law.
