Attorney Profile

The founder of Goldberg & Schulkin Law Offices, Jeffrey M. Goldberg has a deserved reputation as a leading medical malpractice attorney, and he handles other personal injury and wrongful death cases as well. His firm has offices in both Chicago and Milwaukee, and he provides representation to clients throughout those metropolitan areas. Admitted to practice in Illinois since 1974 and in Wisconsin since 2000, Mr. Goldberg has also been admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin and the Supreme Court of the United States. In addition, he frequently appears pro hac vice in courtrooms around the country to better serve his clients.

Mr. Goldberg’s medical malpractice caseload has focused to a great extent on birth injuries that have been caused by the negligence of health care practitioners prior to and during delivery. He has also handled claims related to missed or delayed diagnoses, surgical errors, and hospital negligence. Apart from the medical malpractice area, Mr. Goldberg’s personal injury litigation experience has included aviation crashes and defective products, and throughout his career, he has obtained millions of dollars in compensation for his clients through jury awards and negotiated settlements. These successes both in and out of the courtroom have earned him a great deal of favorable recognition from his fellow members of the bar, including an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell.

Mr. Goldberg is frequently asked to deliver presentations on topics related to his practice areas to groups of fellow attorneys and other professionals. A graduate of the John Marshall Law School in Chicago, he has been extremely active in several legal and community organizations.
