Verdicts/Settlements:

  • $1,910,000  - settlement for 48 Year old client was on his first day on a new job. Client was connecting chains from a gas tanker to a John Deere Excavator so the tanker could be lifted and placed in the ground. The Excavator operator failed to use appropriate procedures and lifted the tanker while client was still on ladder connected to tanker causing client to fall 10 feet. Client suffered a fractured calcaneus bone and rotator cuff injury and required surgery., 2018
  • $1,122,478 - Jeremy Geller received this verdict on behalf of his 54 year old client who was injured when another driver crossed over the center line and struck the client head on. Client had shoulder pain but waited 12 days to seek any medical treatment. Client ultimately was diagnosed with a torn rotator cuff and a torn labrum and had arthroscopic surgery. Client had $72,000.00 in medical bills. Jeremy made a “Bad Faith Demand” to the insurance company to tender their policy limits, which were only $20,000.00, but the insurance company failed to make an offer. Jeremy filed a lawsuit and prosecuted the case all the way to verdict. At trial, the defendant’s lawyer recommended a verdict of $5,000.00, but the jury found in the client’s favor for a tremendous verdict of $1,122,487.48.   • $750,000 - Jeremy earned a $750,000 settlement on behalf of a METRA Railroad employee who was injured at 547 W. Jackson when an elevator malfunctioned.  Schindler Elevator and Metra were required to provide repairs to the elevator, but failed and allowed the elevator to remain in an unsafe condition until it stopped short and entrapped the client causing back injuires.  , 2018
  • $500,000 - Jeremy secured a policy limits settlement on behalf of 43 year old client who was on her way to work when the defendant driver blew a stop sign and crashed into the client's vehicle.   The client suffered a fractured wrist and shoulder injury and required surgery.   State Farm tendered their insurance policy limits to settle the case. , 2019

  • $7,000,000 - Jeremy successfully achieved a $7,000,000 settlement on behalf of a 10 year old boy and his famil.   A Semi Truck was stolen from a local Trucking Company at the Central Steel and Wire Facility on the south side and crashed into a 10 year old boy causing serious injuries and disfigurement.  The thief fled the scene and was never caught.   After taking nearly 50 depositions and securing police experts and crime prevention experts, Jeremy L. Geller was  able to prove that the Trucking Company had left the keys in the ignition of their trucks and negligently failed to secure their trucks and negligently failed to secure their parking lots which greatly increased the likelihood that a truck would be stolen and that injuries would occur.    The settlement was featured on the front page of the Chicago Law Bulletin.   , 2019
  • $3,500,000.00 - Mr. Geller was part of the team of lawyers that achieved a settlement for a man was seriously injured at a construction site at Trump Towers.
