Joel Herrera

Serving clients across the Chicago metro region, Joel Herrera is the founder of the Herrera Law Center LLC in Chicago, Illinois. His practice area is primarily focused on workers’ compensation issues, helping injured workers get the reparations they deserve. 

Earning his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Mr. Herrera enrolled at the Northern Illinois University College of Law to pursue his law degree. He is licensed to practice law in Illinois and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. 

Fluent in Spanish and English, Mr. Herrera assists a diverse range of clients, representing them before the Illinois Workers' Compensation Commission, the Circuit Courts of Illinois and the Illinois Appellate Court. He has a successful track record of recovering millions of dollars in settlement amounts for his clients. Moreover, his professionalism and quality legal services have been recognized by the legal community, and he holds a “Good” rating on Avvo. 

With his legal career spanning almost two decades, Mr. Herrera has extensive experience in workers’ comp law and shares his knowledge by volunteering as a guest speaker for several local community groups. He is also a member of many prominent legal associations and is a legal advisory board member of Arise Chicago, a nonprofit that fights against workplace injustice. In addition, he maintains active memberships with the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association and the Hispanic Lawyers Association of Illinois. 

Recognized for his vast legal knowledge, Mr. Herrera has been invited to be a guest speaker on news channels and featured on a radio show, discussing various legal topics related to work injuries.
