Ken has represented condominium associations, homeowners associations, unit owners, developers, and managers for more than 30 years. He writes extensively in this field of law. His clients are advised not only from the real property aspects of condominium management but also from the principles, best practices, and rules of corporate governance.
He also has represented buyers and sellers of commercial properties in the Chicagoland area, as well as assisting in out-of-state transactions, including hotels, manufacturing facilities, warehouses, and office buildings. He has developed extensive, complex real estate developments including inter-acting condominium associations, with special service areas and complex municipal obligations and relations.
His practice includes business litigation where he has been successful in defending businesses and their directors, officers, managers, members, and partners. He has represented his clients in land use litigation for years.
Having taught corporate law at a law school for several years, he provides business governance advice for corporations, not-for-profit corporations, limited liability companies, and partnerships. His transactional work includes asset sales, stock sales, and change of corporate control. His transactions involving financing projects and acquisitions usually involves financial document review, due diligence, and opinion letters, including opinion letters in international loans.
