Mr. Fanning is the Founder of Fanning Law, LLC based in Chicago, Illinois. Mr. Fanning's law practice focuses on state and local taxation, primarily property tax appeals and property tax incentives. His clients include corporations, small business owners, property managers, developers, REITs, and national franchises.
Mr. Fanning began his career as a Policy Director in Cook County government while attending law school at night and on a scholarship. Later he became the Chief of Staff to the Cook County Finance Committee and its Chairman, John P. Daley.
Mr. Fanning is admitted to practice law in Illinois and has successfully adjudicated appeals before the Cook County Assessor, Cook County Board of Review, DuPage County Board of Review, Lake County Board of Review, Will County Board of Review, Illinois Property Tax Appeal Board, and Cook County Circuit Court.
