    Marc A. Perper is a partner at the Chicago-based law firm of Horwitz, Horwitz & Associates, Ltd., with over 30 years of legal experience.  Mr. Perper graduated from Illinois Institute of Technology / Chicago-Kent College of Law in January 1984.  In the same year, he was admitted to practice in Illinois and federal courts and joined Horwitz, Horwitz & Associates, Ltd.  After more than 30 years with the firm, Mr. Perper continues to serve the citizens and residents of Illinois in workers' compensation cases.

    Due to Mr. Perper's past membership in two trade unions, he understands the challenges faced by today's workers, and he strives to protect the rights of employees.  A ruling from a recent case concerning the right of an injured worker, which Mr. Perper took before the Illinois Supreme Court, has benefited thousands of working men and women in Illinois.  Mr. Perper's work is not limited to high-profile cases only; he has also handled cases by judicial appointment on a pro bono basis.

    Marc Perper's legal experience and successful record have resulted in a high level of respect from the legal community and from labor and professional organizations.  He has been a regular columnist for the Joliet Herald-News, the Fox Valley Labor News, and the Will County Labor Record.  He is often called upon to lecture before myriad professional, labor and civic organizations and is a regular speaker at continuing legal education seminars.     Mr. Perper is a member of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, the Workers' Compensation Lawyers Association, the Chicago Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, the American Bar Association and the Workers' Injury Law & Advocacy Group.  In his spare time, Mr. Perper volunteers with the National Kidney Foundation of Illinois and assists low-wage workers with their income tax preparation and filing.  He is a past director of a Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy support group.
