Marc A. Taxman

Attorney Marc A. Taxman has been practicing personal injury law in Chicago, Illinois, for more than three decades. Mr. Taxman is a founding partner of Taxman, Pollock, Murray & Bekkerman, LLC, and represents the injured and their families throughout the Chicago area. He handles matters involving medical negligence, premises liability, transportation negligence and wrongful death. 

An experienced trial attorney, Mr. Taxman has obtained major recoveries through settlements and verdicts. He is committed to protecting the right of his clients to fair compensation. His success has earned him recognition from the publication “The Best Lawyers in America” and the organization National Trial Lawyers, which included him on its “Top 100 Trial Lawyers” list. He has also been recognized by Leading Lawyers and received various other awards over the years. 

Devoted to continuing legal education, Mr. Taxman lectures on litigation and personal injury topics for groups, including the Chicago Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association and the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association. He is also the author of articles and chapters for several legal publications and has served as a hearing officer and investigator for the Chicago Bar Association Judicial Evaluation Committee.

After earning a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Mr. Taxman received his law degree from the Illinois Institute of Technology Chicago-Kent College of Law. He holds licenses to practice law before the state courts of Illinois and Minnesota, the U.S. district courts for the northern, central and southern districts of Illinois, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States.
