Matthew Kriezelman

A partner at Kriezelman Burton & Associates, LLC, in Chicago, Illinois, Matthew Kriezelman provides judicious legal representation to clients throughout the surrounding region and across the state in important immigration matters pertaining to family- and employment-based immigration, as well as deportation defense, asylum and refugee law and nonimmigrant visas, among many others. 

Mr. Kriezelman completed his undergraduate studies in 2005, graduating with his B.A. degree in history, government and politics from the University of Maryland. He went on to attend the Illinois Institute of Technology – Chicago-Kent College of Law, where he was a part of the Journal of International and Comparative Law. He received his Juris Doctor in 2008, and in the same year, he obtained his license to practice in Illinois. 

A stalwart member of his legal community, Mr. Kriezelman gives his all at the behest of his clients, pursuing every available legal avenue to achieve their goals. He fights tooth and nail to provide them security in their lives and an opportunity to build a better future for themselves and their families in the United States. He regularly practices before the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services and the Department of Homeland Security, and he is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the United States Court of Federal Claims and the United States Court of Appeals for the 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th Circuits. 

Mr. Kriezelman holds memberships in many prominent legal organizations, including the Chicago Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the Illinois State Bar Association and the Lake County Bar Association. A proponent for pro bono work, he was awarded the Distinguished Service Award by the Chicago Volunteer Legal Services, and moreover, he is rated a perfect “10.0” on Avvo and hosts many positive client testimonials on the latter site as well.
