Matthew M. Gannon

Attorney Matthew Gannon is a trial lawyer and partner with Healy Scanlon Veugeler Gannon in Chicago, Illinois, who focuses his practice on personal injury, construction negligence, product liability, medical malpractice and workers’ compensation. Mr. Gannon has successfully achieved numerous seven- and eight-figure verdicts and settlements across a wide range of cases. Within a six-month period, he obtained more than $51 million on behalf of his clients, including $9.85 million for a Local 150 operator injured during a medical procedure, $8.55 million for a construction laborer who sustained severe leg fractures, $4.6 million for a grandmother injured during an angiogram and $2.5 million in a landmark product liability case, the highest recorded verdict in Morgan County history. His outstanding results reflect both his courtroom tenacity and his unwavering commitment to justice.

A graduate of the University of Illinois–Chicago School of Law, Mr. Gannon distinguished himself in the advanced trial advocacy program. He earned his undergraduate degree with honors from Merrimack College, where he attended on a football scholarship. Before beginning his legal career, he worked as a heavy equipment operator and is a proud third-generation union member. This background has given him a deep respect for the labor community and drives his ongoing dedication to representing union workers and their families nationwide.
