Matthew T. Dattilo

Mr. Dattilo focuses his practice on outside general counsel services, corporate law, commercial real estate, public procurement, and administrative and governmental matters.  His clients include restaurants, commercial food service providers, grocery operators and distributors, fuel and convenience store operators, public contractors and airport concessionaires.  Prior to co-founding Simpson Dattilo, LLC, Mr. Dattilo served as general counsel and corporate secretary for Premier Restaurant Group, a diversified provider of food and beverage services based in Chicago, Illinois.  There, Mr. Dattilo’s duties included oversight for legal matters throughout Premier’s portfolio of companies including operations in airport concessions, catering, vending and commercial food service. Building on nearly a decade of experience as a general counsel, Mr. Dattilo now serves as outside general counsel for a range of companies.  He also serves on the Council of Regents of Loyola University Chicago, the Board of Regents of Saint Ignatius College Prep and on the advisory board of the Illinois Restaurant Association.  He is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. District Courts for the N.D. of Illinois and the W.D. of Kentucky, and the state supreme courts of Illinois and Kentucky.  Mr. Dattilo was named by the Chicago Lawyer Magazine and the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin as one of Illinois’ 40 Under 40 attorneys to watch in 2020, as a Super Lawyers Rising Star for 2023, and as a Super Lawyer for 2024.
