Michael Maienza is a member of Vogelzang Law, located in Grand Rapids and Chicago, Illinois. Working out of the Chicago office, his primary focus is on mesothelioma litigation and his dedication to the legal profession is deeply rooted in his commitment to advocating for clients who may otherwise go unheard or silenced. His legal practice encompasses serving clients not only in the Chicago metropolitan area and throughout Illinois but also extends nationwide.
Having achieved remarkable success in his career, particularly in trial and litigation, Mr. Maienza doesn't merely seek quick resolutions but instead strives to ensure his clients receive full compensation. One of his most recent triumphs was as the lead attorney in the case of O'Reilly vs. U.S. Steel, where he secured a verdict exceeding $7,000,000.
Mr. Maienza's academic journey began with a B.B.A. in marketing from The University of Iowa Tippie College of Business, where he was also a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. He later earned his Juris Doctor from the DePaul University College of Law. During this time, he further honed his legal skills by serving as a judicial extern under the Honorable Michael T. Mullen in the Circuit Court of Cook County. Additionally, as a member of the Appellate Moot Court Society, he competed in events in both Minneapolis and Cincinnati.
In addition to his legal career, Mr. Maienza places a strong emphasis on giving back to the community. During his time in law school, he volunteered with organizations such as the Domestic Violence Legal Clinic and the Legal Aid Society, ultimately obtaining his 711 license, which allowed him to directly assist clients on the domestic violence team. His professional achievements include recognition by The National Trial Lawyers on their Top 40 list and a "Very Good" rating on Avvo.
