Michael Vranicar

Michael Vranicar is the founder of the Law Offices of Michael G. Vranicar in Chicago, Illinois, where he represents clients in various civil and intellectual property matters. He focuses his practice on civil litigation defense, intellectual property law and insurance law, serving clients whose cases require both technical knowledge and skilled courtroom judgment.

With over 35 years of legal experience, Mr. Vranicar’s practice includes defending businesses and professionals in high-stakes disputes, as well as handling matters involving patents, trademarks and other intellectual property rights. Registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, he is well-equipped to guide clients through the technical and legal challenges that often occur in intellectual property cases.

Academically accomplished, Mr. Vranicar graduated with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois Chicago in 1983. He later went on to pursue his legal studies at the University of San Diego School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctor in 1987. That same year, he was admitted to practice law in California, marking the start of a legal career that would span multiple jurisdictions and practice areas.

Mr. Vranicar is admitted to practice in Illinois, Indiana and Hawaii. His federal court admissions include the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
