A co-founder of Siegel & Dolan, Ltd., Patrick D. Dolan focuses his practice on labor and employment law. From the firm's office in Chicago, Illinois, he has provided representation to companies and executives throughout the country in a variety of matters most often involving employment contracts, separation agreements and complex compensation and equity issues. The types of cases that Mr. Dolan has handled have included sexual harassment, hiring and workplace discrimination, and wrongful termination and other prohibited forms of retaliation. He also has extensive experience with claims arising under the Americans with Disabilities Act, wage and hour disputes involving the federal Fair Labor Standards Act and Illinois labor laws, and cases involving the Family and Medical Leave Act.

Mr. Dolan regularly prepares and reviews employment, trade secrets and noncompete agreements, and his experience extends to the negotiation and preparation of compensation and separation contracts. His litigation experience has encompassed the enforcement of these and other agreements as well as representing management in partnership and shareholder disputes. Mr. Dolan regularly provides advice and counsel to companies regarding employment policies and risk avoidance, and he has given internal employment training seminars. His clients have included advertising agencies, law firms, investment banks, airlines, technology companies, churches and social media outlets.

In addition to being admitted to practice before all Illinois and California state courts, Mr. Dolan is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Central Districts of Illinois as well as before the U.S. District Courts for the Central, Southern and Eastern Districts of California. He attended the University of Wisconsin–Madison, majoring in political science and receiving a Bachelor of Arts in 1988. His legal education came at the University of Wisconsin Law School, where he was the managing editor of the Wisconsin Law Review before being awarded his Juris Doctor in 1992.
