Peter K. Berg

Peter Knute Berg founded Berg & Berg in the early 90s, in Chicago, Illinois. Peter serves the families of those who have been killed in accidents and people who have been seriously injured by the fault of another.  With over 30 years of experience in personal injury cases, Peter has collected millions of dollars on behalf of families in wrongful death lawsuits, and personal injury cases, including trucking accidents, boating and barge accidents, explosions, bus accidents, CTA, RTA, motor vehicle crashes, pedestrian accidents, motorcycle collisions, bicycle and cycling accidents, medical malpractice, elevator accidents, construction accidents, trip and falls, slip and falls, falling objects, high rise fires, smoke inhalation, food poisoning, dog attacks, animals bites, brain injuries and cases where a drunk person causes an accident (such as drunk driving...injuring someone else).     

Peter earned a bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois double majoring in English Literature and Spanish.  Peter spent a year studying in Sevilla Spain, attending the University of Sevilla where he became fluent in Spanish and learned Spanish history and became enamored with Spanish culture.  Peter taught high school Latin and English for a year in the Chicago area before following in the foot steps of his father, the late Judge Raymond Berg and attended law school at DePaul University College of Law.  Peter has maintained his interest in Hispanic culture and has traveled through South and Central America, and Mexico.  Peter is married for 25 years to Martha (Flores) and they have 4 children.  Peter chose Berg & Berg's their present office location so that he could serve and bring justice to his clients in the local, working class McKinley Park neighborhood and South Side of Chicago, which includes a diverse population of Mexican, Hispanic, Asian, African American, Lithuanian, Polish, Irish, Italian and even artists.  In his free time, Peter likes to bike, hike, fish and camp.  Peter is an avid cyclist and has participated in group rides, centuries (100 mile rides) including cycling across the State of Iowa in the event know as Ragbrai.
