Robert S. Kipnis

Robert S. Kipnis, a partner at Family Law Solutions, comes with a deep reservoir of knowledge and a consistent history of success in handling complex family law cases. His skill set is particularly evident in navigating tough issues such as child and spousal support, asset valuation and distribution, custody, visitation, and removal, as well as drafting pre-and postnuptial agreements, and intricate divorce strategies. Notably, he led the first jury trial in Domestic Relation Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County in 1977, marking a significate milestone.

Mr. Kipnis’ broad legal acumen extends beyond family law, encompassing personal injury, medical malpractice, insurance, defense and class action lawsuits. He is dedicated to serving clients throughout the Chicagoland area, including Chicago, Arlington Heights and Highland Park, Glencoe, Northbrook, Deerfield and Lake Forest, Illinois.

Mr. Kipnis’ academic journey includes a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in 1987, followed by a J.D. from DePaul university College of Law in 1990. That same year, he was licensed in Illinois and gained admission to the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

As a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, Mr. Kipnis participates in the Illinois State Bar Association, The Chicago Bar Association and the Lake County Bar Association. Furthermore, the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin has recognized him as one of the “40 Under Forty” Attorneys to Watch.
