Over the course of his 25-year career, Mr. Murray has obtained multiple jury verdicts and settlements for his clients. He holds numerous record-setting outcomes, including the top E2 nightclub tragedy settlement and state-leading results for ankle, elderly wrongful death and minor finger injury claims. Notably, he received a $67.2 million federal jury verdict, including punitive damages, for a client who was injured in an explosion at a ConAgra grain bin. Rejecting the pretrial offer of just $4.1 million, he fought tirelessly to deliver the full accountability and justice his client deserved.
For the above verdict, Mr. Murray was awarded the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin Trial Lawyer Excellence Award. He was also selected by fellow attorneys to Illinois Leading Lawyers for his continuous efforts to protect his clients’ rights and ensure they are rightfully compensated for the injury and psychological distress. He is an active member of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, presently serving on its board of managers.
