Stacey Feeley Cavanagh

Attorney Stacey Feeley Cavanagh is a partner with Cavanagh Law Group in Chicago, Illinois. A nationally ranked trial lawyer with more than 25 years of total legal experience, Ms. Cavanagh provides unmatched counsel and support to clients throughout the greater Chicagoland area who have suffered injury or loss as a result of someone else's negligence.

Over the course of her legal career, Ms. Cavanagh has represented both plaintiff and defendant clients alike in complex civil litigation involving personal injury and wrongful death claims, medical malpractice, products liability and other acts of negligence. Having focused primarily on plaintiff representation since joining Cavanagh Law Group in 2009, her past litigation defense experience helps her to devise the most effective strategies possible for pursuing the maximum amount of compensation for her plaintiff clients.

Among her most notable successes, Ms. Cavanagh was part of a team that secured a verdict of more than $6.65 million for the family of a luggage handler at the Al-Mubarak Air Force Base in Kuwait. She and her team were able to move the trial to a U.S. court and prevailed in the high-profile case. 

Additionally, she helped obtain a $20 million settlement for the families of two young men killed in a car accident with an off-duty Chicago police officer, who was under the influence of alcohol at the time. The landmark case also affected significant changes in public safety laws.

In honor of her outstanding professionalism and success, Ms. Cavanagh has earned a Top 100 Trial Lawyer designation from The National Trial Lawyers each year since 2012, and Chicago Woman Magazine voted her among the Leading Women in Chicago in 2017. She has also received designation as a Chicago Woman of Influence from the magazine along with recognition from Lawdragon as among the nation's 500 Leading Plaintiff Consumer Lawyers.

A 1992 graduate of Boston College, Ms. Cavanagh obtained her Juris Doctor from the Illinois Institute of Technology's Chicago-Kent College of Law in 1995. She is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit. 

Ms. Cavanagh is also an active member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, and the Chicago and American Bar Associations, as well as the Women's Bar Association. She also sits on the advisory board of Leading Lawyers, and she serves on the guild board of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago.
