Originally from Wisconsin, Ms. Kemen pursued her undergraduate studies at the University of Minnesota before earning her Juris Doctor from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago. While in law school, she gained practical courtroom experience as a felony clerk with the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, where she developed a strong foundation in trial preparation and advocacy. Shortly after admission to the Illinois State Bar Association and the State Bar of Wisconsin, she joined a private practice, where she sharpened her skills working alongside respected defense lawyers.

Since 2009, Ms. Kemen has been an active force in the Cook County legal community, handling thousands of cases involving driving offenses, misdemeanors and complex criminal matters. In 2012, she established the Law Office of Stephanie Kemen, building a reputation for tireless representation and strong results. Her commitment to her clients, combined with her courtroom presence, quickly distinguished her as a trusted defender.

In 2016, Ms. Kemen co-founded Driver Defense Team, a firm devoted to representing clients in DUI, criminal defense and traffic defense.
