Stephen S. Phalen

Stephen Phalen is admitted to practice law in the State of Illinois and The United
States District Court for The Northern District of Illinois. Prior to admission to the bar, he
graduated from the University of Toledo College of Law and received his bachelor’s
degree from Miami University.
Since 1985, Stephen has represented individuals seeking compensation for
injuries caused by the negligence of others. He has tried over thirty personal injury cases
to verdict including: automobile, construction injury, medical malpractice, product
liability, wrongful death, and maritime cases. His largest settlements have been
summarized in the Chicago Lawyer. He has also represented his clients before the Illinois
Appellate Courts.
After having worked for several notable plaintiff’s firms in Chicago, Stephen
started his own practice in 2005. He continues to represent plaintiff’s in personal injury
cases.
Stephen is a member of, Illinois State Bar Association and he is a member of the
Board of Advocates of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association. He has an AV rating from
Martindale Hubbell.
