Lauren C. Elliott

Lauren C. Elliott is a lawyer at Elliott & Associates Attorneys, P.C. The firm is located in Des Plaines, Illinois, and she provides representation to her business and individual clients in Cook County and throughout the greater Chicago metropolitan area and other parts of the state.

As an undergraduate, Mrs. Elliott attended Indiana University in Bloomington, where she majored in business economics and public policy. While she was there, she gained experience in the sales industry and studied abroad at The University of Sydney in Australia before she obtained her Bachelor of Science in 2011. Mrs. Elliott, then, went on to pursue her legal education at Chicago-Kent College of Law, part of the Illinois Institute of Technology, and in 2014, she was awarded her Juris Doctor.

After she graduated from law school, Mrs. Elliott worked for a plaintiff’s personal injury and wrongful death law firm and, then, was an associate at a personal injury defense firm before joining her current firm in September 2016. She now focuses her practice exclusively on property tax issues, representing homeowners, hotels and other businesses, and community associations.

Since that time, Mrs. Elliott has been able to save her clients significant amounts of money through her successful challenges before local property tax authorities. One example is what she has been able to do for her hotel clients, in which she has successfully appealed assessments on the basis that they should only have taken into account the value of the building and underlying land and not goodwill or furniture, fixtures and equipment when the properties are sold. She has been admitted to practice before all Illinois state courts since 2014.
