At the law firm, Mr. Doyen continues to focus his practice on family law, as he has done since entering private practice in 1990. Today, his experience and excellent reputation lead countless clients to his door for assistance with legal challenges that include the following:
• Divorce and property division
• Post-divorce modifications
• Child custody and visitation
• Child support and spousal maintenance
• Paternity issues
• Prenuptial and postnuptial agreements
• Orders of protection
Mr. Doyen began his career in 1987 after earning his law degree from Saint Louis University School of Law and his approval to practice in the state of Illinois. Already a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army, Mr. Doyen joined the Judge Advocate General's Corps after law school, where he served until 1990. Today, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the 4th and 7th Circuits, and the U.S. Supreme Court have also approved him to practice in their courtrooms.
Attorney Doyen has had countless successes during his over 33-year legal career. In fact, he has played a part in a number of representative cases that have helped shape family law in Illinois. As a result of the respect he has earned from both his peers and his clients, he has received a number of honors, including the Kane County Bar Foundation Pro Bono Award. The Doyen Law Group, LLC was the recipient of the Illinois Bar Association Delivery of Legal Services Committee 2017 John C. McAndrews Pro Bono Service Award.
