Mr. Pasquesi began his legal career in 1982 after earning his law degree from The John Marshall Law School and his approval to practice law in Illinois. In addition to his approval to practice in Illinois' state courts, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit and the U.S. Tax Court have issued their approvals for him to practice in their courtrooms.

Although litigation is a large part of Mr. Pasquesi's practice, he works diligently to help his clients avoid the courtroom by facilitating negotiations. The Center for Conflict Resolution recognized him as a certified mediator in 2012, and he is a 19th Judicial Circuit Court-approved mediator for estate-related matters.
