A 1995 graduate of Truman State University, Mr. Blotevogel received his Master of Arts in public administration from the University of Minnesota in 1997. After working with United Way for several years, he decided to pursue his legal career, and he obtained his Juris Doctor from Washington University School of Law in 2003. While there, he served as an editor for the Washington University Law Quarterly, and he graduated as a member of the Order of the Coif.

Mr. Blotevogel holds his license to practice in Illinois and Missouri, and he is admitted to practice before various U.S. District Courts across the country as well as before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th, 7th, 8th and 10th circuits, and the U.S. Supreme Court. 

He is an active member of The Missouri Bar, and Illinois State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the American Association for Justice. He is also a member of the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, the Alton-Wood River Bar Association and the Madison County Bar Association.
