Harry O. Channon

Attorney Harry O. Channon practices law at the Northfield, Illinois, office of Franklin, Greenswag, Channon & Capilla, LLC. His practice areas include business litigation, employment litigation, construction litigation and insurance counseling. In nearly two decades of his legal career, he has successfully represented neighborhood businesses, insurance companies, financial advisers, brokers, home appraisers, company leaders and employees at state and federal levels.

Mr. Channon handles matters involving noncompete/nonsolicitation agreements, nondisclosure agreements, and business and employment conflicts. He has represented clients in arbitrations before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) and the American Arbitration Association (AAA). He additionally advocates for business professionals in malpractice issues and insurance coverage and liability disputes.

In 1988, Mr. Channon pursued his Bachelor of Science in management at Purdue University. Six years later, he secured his Juris Doctor from the John Marshall Law School with dean's list honors. He is licensed to practice law in Illinois (2004), the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the Supreme Court of Illinois, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court.

As a part of devoting considerable time and energy to the welfare of the legal community, Mr. Channon holds memberships in the Illinois State Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association and the Illinois Appellate Lawyers Association. Moreover, he serves as a board member of Kairos Family Center and frequently volunteers as a judge for the John Marshall Law School Moot Court Competitions
