James T. Keleher

Widely respected in the legal community, James T. Keleher is an Equity Partner at Conniff & Keleher, LLC. He focuses his practice solely on family law issues such as divorce and child custody, taking cases throughout Cook, DuPage, Lake, and Will counties.

Himself a father, Mr. Keleher is sensitive to the needs of people as they navigate complicated matters, especially those involving children. He strives to bring cases to a close in the most efficient way possible. By and large, he believes that the people involved are the ones who should decide the outcome of a case, not a judge. Therefore, he uses alternative dispute resolution tactics to help clients avoid trial. However, he is an experienced litigator who is prepared to go to court when necessary.

Throughout his career, Mr. Keleher has helped countless people close one chapter and move forward into another. As the result of his exceptional service and ability to exceed clients’ expectations, he has earned honors that include holding an Avvo “Superb” rating, being listed in The National Advocates: Top 100, being listed in The National Advocates: Top 40 Under 40, and being listed in the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys’ 10 Best.

After earning a bachelor’s degree in political science from Loyola University Chicago in 2006, Mr. Keleher went on to receive a law degree from The John Marshall Law School in 2010.

Today, Mr. Keleher is a member of the West Suburban Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association.
