Attorney Sherby D. Scurto founded her Oakbrook Terrace law firm, the Law Office of Sherby Dianne Scurto, P.C., with the goal of helping the residents of DuPage County and the surrounding areas in northeastern Illinois find solutions to complex family law problems. Thanks to her determination and creative approach to negotiations, she has helped countless DuPage County and surrounding area residents reach settlements in divorces and contentious child custody matters. In addition, she regularly assists clients with matters related to military divorce, child support and paternity.
Ms. Scurto, a Vietnam era veteran of the U.S. Army, began her legal career in 2004 after earning her law degree from the John Marshall Law School.
Over the course of her legal career, Ms. Scurto has built a reputation as a valuable legal ally who offers not only representation but also guidance and support. Her accomplishments, many of which are the result of guiding her clients toward open discussions, have resulted in a number of honors, including a "Superb" rating from Avvo and inclusion on The National Black Lawyers' Top 100 list.
Ms. Scurto is a member of a number of organizations, including the American Chemical Association and Pi Gamma Mu National Honor Society. In addition, she is a member of the Phi AlPhi Alpha Delta Law Faternity, DuPage County Bar Association, and the Illinois State Bar Associations.
