Angela Evans has dedicated her practice to divorce and family law since 2012, drawing on earlier experience in civil litigation and her work as a prosecutor. She is known for her steady, client‑focused approach and her commitment to guiding individuals and families through difficult transitions with clarity and respect. As a court‑certified mediator in multiple judicial circuits, she helps clients evaluate long‑term outcomes and approach their matters from every perspective. While she prepares each case with trial readiness in mind, she prioritizes resolving disputes through practical, mutually beneficial agreements whenever possible.

Angela represents clients throughout central Illinois, including Peoria, Morton, Pekin, Washington, and across Peoria, Tazewell, Marshall, Putnam, Stark, Sangamon, McDonough, Knox, McLean, Logan, Fulton, Mason, and Woodford counties.

A graduate of Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law, Angela has been licensed to practice since 2008 in Alabama and since 2010 in Illinois. She began her career as a prosecutor before expanding her civil litigation experience in Illinois and transitioning fully into civil and family law. Her practice includes appearances before federal courts, and she has written and argued numerous appeals. Angela has handled civil and criminal jury trials successfully in both Alabama and Illinois.

Angela has earned significant professional recognition, including multiple selections to the Illinois Rising Stars lists, recognition as an Emerging Lawyer by Leading Lawyers, and being named “Young Lawyer of the Year Outside of Cook County” by the Illinois State Bar Association. She also served two terms as Chair of the Peoria County Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Committee.

In addition to her legal work, Angela remains active in professional organizations and community involvement. She has been a member of the Abraham Lincoln American Inns of Court, served as an Assembly Member for the Illinois State Bar Association’s Tenth Judicial District, and participated in numerous ISBA sections, including acting as an assembly member. She teaches and presents frequently, having authored published legal articles and led continuing legal education programs, including recent “Case Law Updates” for the Peoria County Bar Association.
