A partner at Parker & Parker in Peoria, Illinois, Robert R. Parker focuses his practice in the areas of adoption, complex divorces with seven-figure estates, and nursing home neglect throughout the state. In 2013, he obtained the largest reported nursing home neglect settlement in Knox County, and his experience also includes murder trials, meth manufacturing and federal gang prosecutions, and international child abduction under the Hague Convention.
Mr. Parker is one of about 500 Fellows admitted worldwide in the Academy of Adoption and Assisted Reproduction Attorneys. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the Peoria County Bar Association, for which he has served on the Communications & Technology and Entertainment committees, and he is an active participant in the Chicago-based Public Interest Law Initiative, where he demonstrates his commitment to pro bono work. He is also a member of The Abraham Lincoln American Inn of Court. Mr. Parker has been a member of the Illinois Adoption Advisory Council and a lecturer in family law courses put on by the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education.
Admitted to practice in Illinois, Mr. Parker is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit. He is also a licensed statewide panel attorney for adoptions with the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services.
In 2005, Mr. Parker earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois, where he majored in Political Science and minored in Anthropology and Ahilosophy. He received his Juris Doctor from Saint Louis University School of Law in 2009.
