Adam S. Long

Representing clients in the Rockford metro and across Illinois, Adam S. Long is a partner at Barrick, Switzer, Long, Balsley, & Van Evera LLP in Rockford, Illinois. He helps clients with various legal matters involving:

Mr. Long represents construction companies, financial institutions, insurance companies, health care providers, small businesses and individuals in commercial transactions and a wide range of both commercial and civil litigation. He has been the lead counsel in numerous jury trials, bench trials, arbitrations, and mediations in both state and federal courts. 

After completing his B.A. in economics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2001, Mr. Long earned his law degree from the University of Kentucky in 2004, where he was a dean’s list student and part of the Moot Court and Trial Advocacy program. Licensed to practice the same year in Illinois, he later gained admissions in the state of Wisconsin and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Furthermore, he has been admitted pro hac vice to the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin.

Recognized for his legal prowess and professionalism, Mr. Long has been named an Emerging Lawyer by the Leading Lawyers magazine.
