Susan A. Marks

Susan A. Marks is a family law and personal injury attorney in Rolling Meadows, Illinois. The founding partner of SAM LAW OFFICE, LLC, Ms. Marks has over 15 years of experience. She represents clients in Rolling Meadows and throughout the Chicago metropolitan area. 

An experienced family law attorney, Ms. Marks handles cases involving issues such as alimony, child support, custody, dissolution, divorce, fathers’ rights, marital property, name change, paternity, prenuptial agreements and same-sex family law. In addition to traditional litigation, she practices collaborative law, utilizing techniques such as mediation to help clients seeking a no adversarial approach to resolving their situation. 

In her personal injury practice, Ms. Marks has experience with issues such as brain injury, motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, slip and fall, trucking accidents and wrongful death. She has considerable litigation experience and has successfully handled many bench and jury trials over her time in practice. 

Active in various professional organizations, Ms. Marks belongs to The Chicago Bar Association, the Northwest Suburban Bar Association, the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association and the American Association for Justice. She serves her community by volunteering her time at local domestic violence shelters. 

Ms. Marks earned a bachelor’s degree in health care administration from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. She received her law degree from the UIC John Marshall Law School. She holds a license to practice law before all Illinois state courts, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois Trial Bar.

Prior to becoming a licensed attorney, Ms. Marks spent many years working in the health care field. She worked as a nursing home administrator and served in various executive positions.
