Later in 2009, he received his Juris Doctor from Michigan State University College of Law and in the following year, he was admitted to practice in Illinois. Throughout his career, Mr. Kozlov has represented clients in numerous cases. In the landmark case ‘In Re Katsap,' he successfully overturned a trial court ruling to secure a historic victory for a mother fighting for her embryos. Representing the mother on appeal before the Second District, he successfully challenged the lower court's decision in favor of the father. This critical 2022 appellate victory established a pioneering six-factor balancing test governing embryo disposition after a divorce.

Mr. Kozlov is an active member of the Chicago Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
