Kerry M. Lavelle is a partner and founding member of Lavelle Law, Ltd., in Chicago, Illinois. Mr. Lavelle earned his law degree from DePaul University College of Law. Prior to law school, he obtained his undergraduate degree in finance and economics from North Park College (now North Park University) in Chicago. He also holds a graduate degree in business administration from DePaul University. Mr. Lavelle is licensed to practice law before Illinois state courts, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the United States Tax Court.

When not representing clients, Mr. Lavelle enjoys contributing to his profession and his community. He is a member of the Northwest Suburban Bar Association and the Chicago Bar Association. He has also authored articles for publications such as the Virginia Tax Journal, the DePaul Business Law Journal and Practical Accountant Magazine.

Within his community, Mr. Lavelle has founded and volunteered his time for several organizations and charitable events. He and other partners in the firm established the Palatine Food Drive, which supports the Palatine Food Pantry. In addition, he serves as a volunteer attorney for Chicago's Center for Disability and Elder Law and sits on the board of directors for the Society for the Preservation for Human Dignity.
