Impressive both in and out of the courtroom, Ms. Nohren has served as an adjunct professor at Eastern Illinois University and frequently speaks at continuing legal education programs about her practice areas. She is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the Shelby County Bar Association, the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois and the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association.
In 1998, Ms. Nohren received a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Illinois Wesleyan University. She then earned a Juris Doctor from the Southern Illinois University School of Law in 2000.
A native of Shelby County, Ms. Nohren understands the unique circumstances that people here face. Her clients range from individuals and businesses to financial institutions. As a licensed mediator and collaboratively trained lawyer, Ms. Nohren knows how to find efficient and fair resolutions outside of the courtroom. She also serves often as a court-appointed guardian ad litem to advocate for the disabled and minors who are in the court system.
Ms. Nohren is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Central and Northern Districts of Illinois, as well as all appellate and state courts.
For her many accomplishments, Ms. Nohren holds an Avvo “Superb” rating, and she has been listed in Leading Lawyers every year since first receiving the "Emerging Lawyer" distinction, and every year thereafter to date, receiving the "Leading Lawyer" distinction once she turned 40.
Outside the courtroom, Ms. Nohren provides pro bono services through Land of Lincoln Legal Assistance. She also speaks at schools about sexual assault.

- Successfully tried multiple day bench trial in 2014 to verdict in favor of Plaintiff client in mechanic's lien foreclosure case for outstanding balance of approximately $60,000 due to contractor, wiht $55k+attorney fee award.
