Attorney Profile

A partner at Wolter, Beeman, Lynch & Londrigan, LLP, Francis J. Lynch divides his practice between personal injury and wrongful death litigation and workers' compensation matters. From the firm's offices in Springfield, Illinois, he provides representation to clients throughout Sangamon County. Admitted to practice before all Illinois state courts since 1983, Mr. Lynch is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Central District of Illinois.

Mr. Lynch's personal injury client base is comprised of people who have incurred economic and noneconomic losses due to the negligence of other persons or entities. The types of cases that he has worked on have included truck and other motor vehicle crashes, defective products, premises liability, and construction site accidents, and he has been able to obtain significant compensation for his plaintiff clients, through both jury verdicts and negotiated settlements. In one notable case involving a motor vehicle accident, Mr. Lynch teamed with one of his partners to obtain a jury verdict in excess of $24 million, which is considered to be the highest jury award in the history of Sangamon County.

Mr. Lynch also assists people who have been injured on the job and who are seeking their rightful benefits under their employer's workers' compensation insurance coverage. He helps them prepare and submit the required claim documentation, and he advocates on their behalf in the event that it is disputed or denied. Mr. Lynch's successful track record in both of his practice areas has earned him an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell.

Extremely active in his community, Mr. Lynch has served as the chairman of the board of directors of the United Way of Central Illinois. A 1983 graduate of the Southern Illinois University School of Law, his professional memberships include the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association.
