Andrew L. Horberg

Focusing his practice on a variety of legal matters, Andrew Lawrence Horberg is an attorney at Law Offices of Andrew L. Horberg from the firm's office in Tinley Park, Illinois. He provides representation to residents of Cook and Will counties and other parts of the greater Chicago metropolitan area. Admitted to practice in Illinois since 1986, Mr. Horberg is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

A significant portion of Mr. Horberg's client base is made up of people whose marriages are coming to an end and who are thus having to deal with such divorce-related issues as child custody and visitation, spousal and child support, and the division of complex assets and financial obligations. A forceful courtroom advocate on their behalf when litigation has become necessary, he has also helped them come to an accord on these matters through his handling of negotiations. In addition to his divorce practice, Mr. Horberg assists clients whose marriages have already been legally dissolved and who are now seeking the enforcement of or modifications to existing parenting and support orders. His family law experience has also encompassed the preparation and review of prenuptial agreements, adoptions, and the representation of victims of domestic violence who are petitioning the court for appropriate protective orders.  Mr. Horberg also practices landlord/tenant, probate, real estate and in various other legal fields.  

Mr. Horberg attended The University of Chicago as an undergraduate, where he majored in sociology and received a Bachelor of Arts in 1982. He then went on to pursue his legal education at DePaul University College of Law, and in 1986, he was awarded his Juris Doctor. In addition to his legal activities, Mr. Horberg served the Burnham Fire Department in various capacities from 1991 through 2019 when he retired as Chief of the department.  He now serves the Town of Munster, Indiana as a firefighter.  He also is a pilot and Legal Officer of the Illinois Wing of the United States Air Force Auxiliary/Civil Air Patrol.
