From the law office of Gauthier Family Law, Michael Gauthier has been a stalwart advocate for his clients in their contentious family law matters, including divorce and separation, child support, division of assets and debts, and allocation of parental responsibilities, as well as post-decree modifications. With nearly 20 years of experience, he is certified as an arbitrator by the 19th Judicial Circuit of the Court of Illinois and the Circuit Court of Cook County, as well as a mediator by the latter organization.
Mr. Gauthier completed his undergraduate studies in 2000, graduating with his Bachelor of Arts degree in history and politics from Lake Forest College. He went on to attend the Chicago-Kent College of Law at the Illinois Institute of Technology, where he bolstered his legal acumen and talents which are still evident in the advocacy he provides for his clients today. After receiving his Juris Doctor in 2005 and his license to practice law in Illinois a year later, he became admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the United States Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit.
Throughout his illustrious career, Mr. Gauthier has garnered the adulation of his peers for promoting client-centric ideals through his own practice, as well as many prestigious legal organizations such as the National Association of Distinguished Counsel (Nation’s Top One Percent) and the American Society of Legal Advocates (Top 40 Under 40).
