Sara E. Cook is the managing partner of McKenna Storer in Woodstock, Illinois. Her practice encompasses a variety of areas, representing local, national and international clients in matters involving banking law, business law, commercial litigation and professional liability defense. Ms. Cook also provides representation to both debtors and creditors in bankruptcy proceedings.

After receiving her Bachelor of Arts with honors from the University of Iowa in 1975, Ms. Cook subsequently earned her law degree from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 1980. While there, she served as associate editor of the Loyola University Chicago Law Journal. Following law school, she clerked for an associate justice of the Supreme Court of Iowa.

Ms. Cook serves as a panel mediator for small claims cases. She has received an AV Preeminent* peer-review rating through Martindale-Hubbell and is admitted to practice in Illinois. Ms. Cook is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Tax Court, the U.S. District Courts for the Northern District of Illinois, the Eastern District of Michigan, and the Eastern District of Wisconsin, and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the 7th, 10th, and 11th Circuits.

Ms. Cook shares her legal experience and knowledge with students and colleagues by teaching, lecturing, and writing on a variety of legal subjects. She has taught risk management in master degree programs at the National University of Health Sciences. Her articles have appeared in several publications, including the Loyola University of Chicago Law Journal and the Illinois Bar Journal. Ms. Cook is active in several professional and community organizations, including the 7th Circuit and McHenry County bar associations and the Woodstock Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
