Ted Smith

The owner and principal attorney of Ted Smith Attorney At Law, Ted Smith bases his practice in Anderson, Indiana. Enriched with more than four decades of experience, he focuses his law practice primarily on Social Security Disability law. He assists clients throughout the state of Indiana who are unable to work due to an illness or an injury and who are seeking Social Security Disability (SSD) benefits.

Mr. Smith helps his SSD clients navigate the monotonous and lengthy process of claiming their benefits. He meets with each client, personally reviews his client's medical records, prepares a summary of the case for the administrative law judge and his client for the hearing, and cross-examines the vocational witness during the hearing. His clients include those suffering from chronic conditions such as immune disorders, blindness, cystic fibrosis, interstitial cystitis, bipolar disorder, depressive disorder and more.

A graduate of the University of Notre Dame, Mr. Smith received a Bachelor of Arts degree in history in 1973. Remaining in Notre Dame, Indiana, he went on to attend Notre Dame Law School, and was awarded a Juris Doctor in 1976. Admitted to practice before all Indiana state courts, he is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana and the Supreme Court of the United States.
