Carolyn Grimes is the founder and managing attorney of the Law Office of Carolyn Grimes, LLC, where she leads a dedicated team focused exclusively on immigration law. Her practice spans representation before USCIS, the Immigration Courts (EOIR), and the Board of Immigration Appeals, with a concentration in  family-based immigration, citizenship, removal defense, asylum, SIJS, VAWA, DACA, U visas, T visas, and hardship waivers.

Carolyn’s commitment to immigrant rights is deeply personal. While studying abroad in Argentina during high school, and later in Italy and Spain during college, she developed a lifelong passion for language, culture, and advocacy. After graduating from Auburn University with a degree in Spanish and a minor in Italian, she returned to Madrid to teach English to business executives. It was her own family’s immigration journey, however, that inspired her to pursue a career in immigration law. Carolyn earned her J.D. from William & Mary Law School, where she combined her bilingual skills with her passion for justice to prepare for a career of service.

Since opening her own firm in 2020, Carolyn has become a recognized leader in the Indiana immigration community. She is known for her tireless advocacy, often taking on complex, high-stakes cases where lives and families are on the line. Beyond the courtroom, Carolyn is actively engaged in the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and frequently educates the public on immigration policies, enforcement trends, and the human impact of shifting laws.

Her approach blends sharp litigation strategy with deep empathy for the clients she represents. Colleagues and clients alike describe her as both fierce and compassionate—an attorney who will not only fight relentlessly in court but also walk beside families as they navigate some of the most difficult chapters of their lives.

Rooted in Indianapolis, Carolyn is proud to serve immigrant communities across the Midwest. When she is not in the office or the courtroom, she is devoted to her family and to creating a safe and welcoming space for others.
