Nancy L. Cross

Nancy L. Cross is managing partner of Cross Glazier Reed Burroughs, PC, in Carmel, Indiana. In keeping with the firm's family law focus, she is highly qualified to represent clients in all family legal matters, including those involving divorce, children and division of substantial assets.

Ms. Cross has practiced law in Indiana for more than 30 years. During that time, she has restricted her practice to family law, including divorce litigation, mediation and appellate work. She is a specialist in family law certified by the Indiana Family Law Certification Board; a family law mediator registered by the Indiana Commission for Continuing Legal Education; and since 1993, a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. The academy requires a demonstrated ability in family law matters, a minimum admission to the bar of 10 years and a 75 percent specialization in matrimonial law.

In 2011, the Indiana Supreme Court appointed Ms. Cross as a commissioner on the state's disciplinary commission, which is responsible for investigating and prosecuting claims of misconduct against lawyers licensed to practice law in Indiana and protecting lawyers against unwarranted claims of misconduct.

Ms. Cross serves on the Indiana State Bar Association's legislative committee, has served on the organization's board of governors and is a former chairperson of its family law section. She has been active in the legal community, having published numerous articles and lectured at numerous family law seminars.

Ms. Cross has been consistently recognized by her peers for her contributions and value to the legal field. She has been included in the peer-reviewed publication "The Best Lawyers in America".* Every year since 2004, Indianapolis Monthly magazine has listed her among the 25 top female attorneys in Indiana and has included her in its listing of Indiana Super Lawyers. She was featured six times as one of the publication's 10 ten choices among Indianapolis divorce attorneys.

Ms. Cross is a 1979 graduate of the University Of Nebraska College Of Law and resides with her two sons in Zionsville.
