Carl J. Becker

Carl J. Becker is a founding partner at Becker Bouwkamp Walker, P.C., in Fishers, Indiana, where he offers comprehensive legal services in domestic relations and family law. His practice encompasses mediation, dissolution, paternity, custody, support, property settlement, protective order and guardianships. Additionally, he provides legal counsel in manufactured housing law, general commercial advice and business litigation. His work spans several counties in Indiana, with a focus on Marion, Hamilton, Hendricks, Hancock and Boone.

Mr. Becker earned his undergraduate degree in accountancy with high honors in 1988 and his Juris Doctor, cum laude, in 1991 from the University of Illinois.

He is a registered domestic relations mediator and has undergone training as an arbitrator. His contributions to the legal community are further highlighted by his selection as a distinguished fellow of The Indianapolis Bar Foundation and his involvement with the Indianapolis Bar Association’s Impact Fund Committee in 2019.

Throughout his career, Mr. Becker has shared his knowledge through lectures on family law topics such as child custody, child support, property issues, mediation and alternative dispute resolution techniques. He also addresses matters affecting manufactured housing communities, collaborating with the Indiana Manufactured Housing Association on various issues, including community transactions, lease drafting and tenant-landlord relations.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Mr. Becker is deeply committed to community service. He has been actively involved with Art With A Heart, serving as president from 2011 to 2014 and continuing as a board member. His leadership roles extend to Legacy House, where he served as chairperson and vice chairperson, and Concord Community Development Corporation.

Additionally, Mr. Becker has contributed to the Children’s Theatre Institute and the Lighthouse Cove Homeowners Association, demonstrating his dedication to enriching the community through various initiatives. He is also a member of the Hamilton County Bar Association and the Indiana State Bar Association, reflecting his commitment to the legal profession and community engagement.
