Josiah Swinney

Mr. Swinney is a zealous and fierce advocate for his clients. He is well known for his trial skills and fights aggressively for his clients’ rights and freedoms. 

With a focus on banking, corporate law, finance and securities law, Mr. Swinney pursued his legal studies at the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. He obtained his doctorate in jurisprudence in 2018 and graduated with honors. 

During law school, Mr. Swinney served as clerk to Solicitor General Thomas M. Fisher, where he worked on cases in the United States Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit, the Indiana Supreme Court, and the U.S. Supreme Court.

After law school, Mr. Swinney continued working at the Office of the Indiana Attorney General and became an Intensive Deputy Attorney General, a position for qualified first-year attorneys. He then moved to the role of Deputy Attorney General, where he took on high-profile appeals and looked over student clerkships. 

Mr. Swinney is a firm believer in giving back to society and helping those who need it the most. He is actively associated with Camp To Belong, an organization that has programs to help children in foster care to connect and create memories with their brothers and sisters.
