Kevin J. Mitchell

Attorney Kevin J. Mitchell is the founder and owner of Mitchell Litigation & Advocacy in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Over the course of his legal career, Mr. Mitchell has represented the rights and interests of some of the nation's largest financial institutions and agricultural companies, and he has worked with a broad range of individuals, emerging and established businesses, school districts, manufacturers and trustees. Through his practice, he has handled a variety of matters, including breaches of contract, noncompete claims, business torts, breaches of warranty, bankruptcy, successor liability claims and more, and he has gained a reputation for his in-depth legal knowledge and aggressive advocacy.

Along with maintaining a robust trial practice, Mr. Mitchell has extensive appellate experience, and he has successfully argued before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit in Chicago, Illinois. He also holds his admission to practice before the U.S. District Court and U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern and Central Districts of Indiana, as well as the U.S. District Court for the Central District of Illinois and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims.

After graduating magna cum laude from Ashland University in 2004, Mr. Mitchell attended Case Western Reserve University School of Law, where he obtained his Juris Doctor cum laude in 2007. An active member of the moot court in law school, he received the Dean Dunmore Moot Court Award, and he graduated Order of Barristers. He is an active member of his legal community, and he graduated from the Indiana State Bar Association’s Leadership Development Academy in 2017.
