Kelly Cicillian

Kelly Cicillian is a dedicated personal injury attorney serving clients at Hensley Legal Group, PC, in Hammond, Indiana. Advocating for individuals who have been victims of negligence and injury, she handles matters of medical malpractice, motor vehicle accidents, trucking accidents and wrongful death. She also represents clients in asbestos exposure, defective products and invasion of privacy cases. 

Before joining the Valparaiso University School of Law for legal studies, Ms. Cicillian received her bachelor’s degree from the University of St. Francis. While at law school, she participated in moot court and was editor-in-chief of the school’s student-run publication. She earned her Juris Doctor in 2006 and is licensed to practice law in Indiana and Illinois. Her practice extends to the federal courts through her admissions to the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Northern Districts of Indiana and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

Starting her career as an insurance defense lawyer, Ms. Cicillian soon realized that she wanted to stand with the victims and help them receive the compensation they deserved. She is empathetic and always ensures her clients feel heard and cared for. She understands that personal injury cases can be emotionally taxing and prioritizes communication to reassure and ease her clients. For the last decade and a half, she has focused her entire practice on helping victims of injury caused by others’ carelessness. 

Outside of the courtroom, Ms. Cicillian is an active member of the Lake County Bar Association, the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association, the Women Lawyers Association of Indiana and the Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys. She is also a part of the Prison Fellowship, an organization that provides Christmas gifts to children in Northwest Indiana on behalf of an imprisoned parent.
