Brad A. Catlin

Brad A. Catlin is a distinguished trial attorney at Johnson Jensen Williams in Indianapolis, Indiana, where he concentrates his practice on personal injury, civil and business litigation, civil rights, legal malpractice and business and commercial law. Renowned for his fearless advocacy, he has secured multiple jury verdicts surpassing $10 million, including a record-setting award in excess of $130 million. He is admitted to practice in both Indiana and Ohio and was honored as one of The Best Lawyers in America (2025).

A native of Westfield, Indiana, Mr. Catlin excelled academically as an Honor Scholar at Wabash College. He graduated cum laude with an A.B. in political science before earning his J.D. from the University of Notre Dame School of Law. Following law school, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable Mary DeGenaro on the Ohio Seventh District Court of Appeals. In that role, he not only managed typical appellate research and drafting responsibilities but also contributed to the preparation of materials for Ohio’s appellate law specialist certification examination.

Beyond his litigation portfolio, Mr. Catlin dedicates significant time to the profession. He is an active member of the executive committee for the Litigation Section of the Indianapolis Bar Association and is routinely invited to address fellow lawyers on topics ranging from cutting-edge legal technology to recent developments in Indiana jurisprudence. 

Committed to fostering the next generation of appellate advocates, Mr. Catlin volunteers as a moot court judge for the Indiana Appellate Institute.
