Greg Padgett

Greg Padgett, principal at Padgett Law LLC in Indianapolis, Indiana, is an estate and trust litigation attorney with over 30 years of legal experience. Mr. Padgett handles estate, probate and trust litigation, including contested wills and trusts. He serves clients from Indiana and all over the United States when they have inheritance disputes in the State of Indiana.

Over his years of practice, Mr. Padgett has resolved complex cases involving breach of fiduciary duty, contested accountings, heirship and inheritance disputes. He is familiar with many types of estate and trust litigation cases and has appeared in courts throughout Indiana.

In recognition of his legal service, the Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers named Mr. Padgett to its prestigious list beginning in 1995. He is also named in Who’s Who in American Law.  As of 2021, he has been named an Indiana Super Lawyer 10 times, a distinction limited to no more than 5% of Indiana's lawyers.

After graduating summa cum laude from DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana, with a bachelor’s degree in political science and in philosophy, Mr. Padgett earned his law degree from Northwestern University School of Law in Chicago, Illinois. He is a member of the Indianapolis Bar Association and the Indiana State Bar Association, and volunteers with the Neighborhood Christian Legal Clinic.

Mr. Padgett has served as an adjunct professor in the legal studies department at Butler University and writes and lectures extensively on estate and trust litigation topics. He holds licenses to practice law before all Indiana state courts, the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern districts of Indiana, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit.
