Gregory L. Laker

At CohenMalad, LLP, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Gregory L. Laker dedicates his practice to representing families shattered by catastrophic injuries, the sexual abuse of minors and the wrongful death of a child. With over three decades of litigation experience, he zealously advocates for accident and injury victims in both state and federal courts nationwide.

Mr. Laker has shared his knowledge as a lecturer on sexual abuse, personal injury, and mass tort topics before audiences in Indiana, Nevada and Louisiana. An academic achiever, he earned his Juris Doctor from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 1984. Upon graduation, he was admitted to the Indiana State Bar Association and to the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana.

An upstanding figure in the legal circle, Mr. Laker remains an active member of the American Association for Justice, the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association and the Indianapolis Bar Association. Since 2002, he has chaired the nationally recognized Personal Injury Practice Group of CohenMalad, LLP, which prosecutes claims against pharmaceutical manufacturers and medical device companies on behalf of injured consumers. Under his leadership, the firm has assumed key roles in major multidistrict litigations.

Currently, Mr. Laker and his team represent individuals across the country injured by a range of high-risk products such as Philips CPAP, BiPAP, and ventilator devices; antiretroviral medications including Truvada, Stribild, Atripla, Viread and Complera; Johnson & Johnson’s talc-based baby powder and metal-on-metal hip implant systems. His ongoing commitment to consumer safety and accountability continues to shape complex litigation and secure justice for those harmed.
